4^th Of July Preparations

Saturday (6/30/18) 8:00 PM – Power wash Both Shelters and Stage. Each has a water source, and I’ll have my washer, so it would go pretty fast if we have two more power washers show up. If you don’t have a washer and can push a broom we’ll have something for you to!

Tuesday (7/3/18) 8:00 AM – Set out equipment for event.

Thursday(7/5/18) 8:30 AM – Clean and return equipment to storage.

We are having a committee meeting this Friday evening (6/15/18) at 7:30 PM in the basement of the West Union Christian Church.

We will be reviewing food tent items, collection of auction merchandise, and reviewing the to-do list in preparation for the event.

4TH Of July meeting next Tuesday (May 29th) at EARL’S SUPPER CLUB AT 5:30PM.  Come early if you want to eat (we’ll be there 5:00PM).

Following are the minutes to tonight’s West Union 4th Of July Celebration Committie Meeting.

I am calling a 4th Of July meeting this Thursday evening (2/15/18) at the West Union Christian Church in the basement at 6:30 PM.  Among other items of business,  we will discuss and decide if or not we will host a Pageant this year.

For many years, we have had an post July 4th evening meal at the Silver Moon as a thank you to Joe for his considerable contributions to the West Union 4th Of July Celebration.

This year we lost Joe, but Brad and his Brian have continued to be a partner in keeping out celebration going strong. In keeping with the tradition, we will again have a meal at the Silver moon.

This year the meal will be this coming Tuesday  (7/11/16) at 5:00 PM.

For those who don’t know, we pay for our own meals.  We’ll order and have a short meeting while we are waiting for our food. I will have a financial report of this years event.

Everyone who helped in any way with the 4th is invited.  Please spread the word and attend if you can.

Please remember to start freezing ice for our POP tubs.  Ice Cream buckets, Juice bottles and so on.  I’ll be plugging in the freezers down at the park building in a week or two if you have containers but no freezer space, we can freeze them there.
