Every year we have a evening meal at the Silver Moon as a thank you to Joe for his considerable contributions to the West Union 4th Of July Celebration.

This year the meal will be this Thursday (7/14/16) at 6:00 PM.

For those who don’t know, we pay for our own meals.  We’ll order and have a short meeting while we are waiting for our food. I will have a complete financial report of this years event.

Everyone who helped in any way with the 4th is invited.  Please let me know by Thursday if you think you will be able to attend  so that I can give Joe an rough count of how many to expect.

Good news!!! The chances of our fireworks setting anything on fire are very slim this year!!!!

So many have worked so hard to get ready for the 4th this year. The possibility of rain diminishes as Monday progresses, and we need to keep a positive attitude and be prepared to adapt AND to keep people informed.

I have updated www.westUnion4th.com with a new page under the tab “Main Events” called Weather Related Changes”  for any events that are effected by the weather as Monday progresses.  We are suggesting people keep track using our website and Facebook page should any of our events to be affected by the weather. Mike manages the face book page & I… the Website, and we will do our best to keep these pages current if rain forces us to change any of the scheduled events.

Please be assured that there are NO plans to postpone or reschedule the West Union 4th of July Celebration! 

Please encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the day we have worked so hard to prepare for, but you might suggest they bring an umbrella just in case.
